The name given to the Third Sunday of Advent is Gaudete Sunday, which means rejoice. Amidst the various crosses we must carry in our daily lives and the many troubles of our world, the Lord is inviting us to reflect on the many good things we have received, especially the gift of His only begotten Son, and to see these as a sign of His immense and unwavering love for us.
